Rod has worked in computer technology for
more than thirty years covering software and hardware support, software engineering and computer (information) security.
His experience in computer security includes
work as a software engineer on a security kernel for Digital Equipment Corporation's VAX computers, and system management
and security for the Delphi on-line service, the first on-line service provider to offer full Internet access to its members.
Later
Rod spearheaded computer security engineering for News Corporation's on-line ventures, including creating the overall structure
and policies of that effort.
Rod has worked with the FBI, the U. S. Secret Service, the U. S. Customs Service, and
the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as well as several state and local police agencies on computer crime cases.
His
memberships include Regional Electronic and Computer Crime Task Force, the Information System Security Association (ISSA),
and the High Technology
Investigator's Association (HTCIA)
Rod is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP) and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
