With the number of pages for the mascot alone,
it is understandable if one is wondering how other topics will get noticed. Here's the scoop:
Extensive topics such as the mascot will
become separate websites that will be linked to "My Dartmouth." This will serve at least two purposes; 1) to isolate
the topic, and 2) to isolate non-Dartmouth visitors from being exposed to say my/or a contributor's particular
view on a topic. For example, the mascot issue is totally unrelated to the Dartmouth Review issue about which Hanover merchants,
who do not advertise ine in the Review, could probably care less. So one can expect that a separate site will soon
exist for the mascot... and even that site may be pared to sub-sites focused on a particular interest.
Of course, all of the above is placing the cart
before the horse. First,
it must be determined if "My Dartmouth" develops interest.
