Wayne started his security career in the US Marine Corps as a computer specialist at COMCABWEST, an organization encompassing the five Marine air stations on the West Coast, and responsible for security on a 10,000 host network while stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar.
After the Marine Corps, Wayne joined International Network Services ("INS"), now a part of Lucent Technologies. At INS Wayne was the sole computer security instructor for a global integration company with more than two thousand employees.
Upon leaving INS/Lucent, Wayne joined a Boston-based computer security startup, Athena Security, where he was Vice President of Solutions Development. At Athena, Wayne participated in many complex security integration projects, including developing the auditing methodologies used to test the security of organizations such as Federal Banks, E-commerce web sites and several high profile clients.
Wayne was recalled into the Marine Corps after September 11, 2001 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During this time Wayne was responsible for overseeing the proper routing, classification, and delivery of Government information with varying degrees of sensitivity.
